Group Structure: In each session, following a step-by-step process, I will provide you with the tools, support, accountability, and practice activities you need to achieve your goals. The group meets every other week over three months for a total of 6 sessions. Each session is 60 minutes in length. “I want to achieve my goals, but I seem to lose my motivation. Will this group help me?”
Yes, absolutely, this group will help you! Often, the problem is that we haven’t identified the real motivator for ourselves for change. The BIG why for achieving your goal. We intentionally start our work together – in our very first session – by identifying your BIG why. This is your core motivation for the specific change you want to make. We then use your “why” as an anchor for your motivation throughout our three months together. We’ll also learn why willpower is NOT enough for achieving your goals, and I’ll give you tools to set yourself up for success that do not include trying to build up your willpower.
“What if my goal will take longer than 3 months to achieve?”
That’s okay! Lots of goals take longer than 3 months to achieve. The purpose of the group is to set you up for success in reaching your current goal and future goals. You will make positive changes during the 3 months we spend together. Even if you don’t reach your final destination during our time together, you’ll be well on your way.
“I’ve tried so many different things to reach my goals and none of them have worked. How will this be any different?”
The difference of this program is that you will be learning evidenced-based strategies based in behavioral change theory that will help you understand – and apply – the science of goal achievement. Or, put more simply, in each session, I’ll summarize and share what the research says works. “What if I miss a session?”
That’s one of the reasons why I created the companion workbook. You will be able to keep up with the group by completing the worksheets assigned for each session. In this way, you won’t be behind and will still be able to make progress toward your goal. You will also have access to the Members Only Facebook group where you can chat with me and other members of the group about what you missed.
“What if I don’t reach my goal?”
Some goals are too big to accomplish in just 3 months! That’s okay. Even if you don’t reach your goal by the time we finish, you will have made positive changes toward that goal. Each session and the workbook activities are designed to ensure that happens. When the group finishes, you can continue to use the principles and strategies to reach your goal. And if you haven’t made any positive change at all during our 3 months together, after attending all six of the sessions and completing the workbook, I will refund your investment.
